ALAN ALDRIDGE BEATLES ILLUSTRATED (LYRICS ART) CALENDAR
LISTS DAILY FACTS IN BEATLES HISTORY

LIMITED EDITION INCLUDES “MUSIC FOR LINDA” 5 TRACK EP

Reviver Records’ David Ross CEO/President and label project coordinator George Dassinger worked closely with: Alan Aldridge, the “Music For LindaEP’s producer Robert Johnson, the packaging/design team of Jerry Bunke – Digital Force and Kate Vocke – SixThirteenCreative and others, too many to name. The project took on a “life of its own” which motivated the team – the Alan Aldridge Beatles Illustrated lyrics art calendar and EP is available online and, at brick-and-mortar stores nationally.

The 18-month calendar seems to be the only Beatles’ genre calendar to list Beatles history day-for-day. The calendar chronicles days (July 2014 to December 2015} selected from the Fab Four’s collective facts and history. For example, what day was “Sgt. Pepper” released (July 1st) or Brian Epstein defending John at a “bigger than Jesus” controversy (August 5th) press conference?

Alan Aldridge’s Beatles illustratedlyric art is rock legendary” and transferring his creations into a bulletin-board cubby-sized calendar required hours of: thought, planning, multiple approvals, its 7” square sizing, product distribution, recording-mixing and maintaining the calendar’s printing - “made in America” mandate. The collection took months of pre-production to envision the calendar prototype, assemble a formal model, sift through scores of Beatles history facts, produce the EP, sequence the tracks, credits, etc. – all resulting (available now - iTunes and amazon.com) into a unique package – limited edition.

Alan’s Beatles lyric art was originally released in 1969 book with multiple world-renown artists also participating. Alan’s lyric art images are celebrating their 45th anniversary. As a calendar released now (July start month), means, in a month, it will soon be dead-center in the 50th anniversary of The Beatles coming to America. The collection also gives a laudatory nod to the 65th anniversary of the 45 rpm single, released by RCA 1949. The EP is currently available on iTunes and the calendar/EP collection is featured on amazon.com - $19.95.

The Alan Aldridge Beatles Illustrated calendar also includes a 5-track EP entitled “Music For Linda produced track-for-track by Robert Johnson. The artists performing the songs of Sir Paul McCartney (written and co-written) are: Caroline Pennell – “Come And Get It”; Tackhead – “I’m Looking Through You”; Little Anthony – “A World Without Love”; Living Colour – “Back In The U.S.S.R.”; and Rapper’s Delight – "Mrs. Vandebilt."

Reviver Records is developing a unique reputation thanks to the label’s phrase ‘Music That Gives Back’. It’s not just a marketing plan or a tax loophole with Reviver. We give donations to worthy American cancer charities yearly. Reviver’s number one charity is The Women And Cancer Fund, which was established in Linda McCartney’s memory.

The Alan Aldridge Beatles illustrated calendar and ‘Music For Linda’ 5-track EP complement each other. Alan’s art has never been readily available and, at age 74, he feels very strongly about supporting charities with his art. Our calendar proposal intrigued Alan. The resulting calendar is outstanding. Adding some Sir Paul songs to the mix - the EP, just sweetened the collection’s slotted double-truck packaging.

This is a slightly different road for Reviver Records and the initial responses we have had at retail and online, is pretty damn good for opening day. The release date was advanced to coincide with national Record Store Day, April 19th. Perfect fit right?

The Alan Aldridge Beatles illustrated calendar and EP is a fun, a Beatle keepsake, charity-driven and left-of-center priority project. I don’t mind saying it is a daunting distribution and logistics job for an indie like Reviver. It may be challenging but we could be the little label that could. A high profile calendar/EP project like Alan’s lyric art doesn’t come round very often,”
CEO/President David Ross said.

The collection is distributed by BDG, which is a distributed by RED Distribution, LLC (a division of SONY Music Entertainment). Reviver Records is an independent record label based on the East Coast.
