Jonathan McHugh is a documentary film director/producer and music supervisor.  A former label & Film executive who has held high ranking A&R/creative and marketing positions at top companies like New Line Cinema/Warner Films, Jive Records/Sony Records, Island Def Jam/Universal Records.

For the last eight years McHugh has been producing and directing pop culture and musical based films while music supervising many projects.  McHugh just finished directing his first two documentary films “Cosplay Universe” and “Long Live Rock…Celebrate the Chaos” and is producing a documentary about Muhammad Ali’s history with his hometown called “City Of Ali.”

McHugh has produced over thirty films and TV shows including “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”(the 2nd highest grossing theatrical grossing documentary of all time) “Janis Joplin’s highly regarded documentary, Lionsgate‘s “Snoop Dogg‘s Hood Of Horror,“ “Repo The Generic Opera,” (Sarah Brightman) Lifetime’s “Flying By” (Billy Ray Cyrus) & Discovery’s “Battle Ground Earth” (Ludacris & Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee.)

He has music supervised seventy-five films & TV series including the Cinemax/HBO TV series “Jett” and is currently supervising the animated series “The Fabulous Fury Freak Brothers” starring Tiffany Haddish, Woody Harrelson and John Goodman as well as just finished the  films “Butter”, “Dweller” and the doc. “Pretending I’m A Superman.”

McHugh is a former Grammy Trustee and President of the LA Grammy Chapter,  Producers Guild Documentary jury member and Secretary and board member and co-founder of the Guild of Music Supervisors. IMDB
